Scuba Diving

Scuba diving in North Cyprus is a dream, with many marine reefs giving shelter to a wide variety of see life. Clear visibility (30 metres plus), warm waters, the chance to see turtles, octopus, grouper, numerous other fish, along with fascinating coral and plant life. See the remains of amphora and other pottery dating back several thousand years lying undisturbed on the sea bed. The oldest wreck in the world (carbon dated to 300 BC) was found just off Girne (Kyrenia). She sank in heavy seas and now complete with her cargo is housed in a special museum at Girne Castle, but there remain on the seabed many artefacts where she went down.

We work with Amphora Diving, a local diving centre which has extensive knowledge of the region. They are fully qualified and provide diving instruction of the highest quality leading to qualifications from both the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC), and the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). Full details of these courses are available on request. Amphora Diving is the only BSAC dive centre in North Cyprus. They operate from Sunset Beach, the best location in North Cyprus for diving and envied by other local diving companies. The beach is sandy and has a bar, restaurant, toilets and showers, making it an ideal location for non-divers as well.

If you want to learn from scratch, improve your skills, or to just dive for pure pleasure; this is probably one of the best places in Europe to do it. The coast offers some wonderful dive sites and the region has everything a diver could want.
